"Relief Sculptures" in the style of Frank Stella. (1936-Present)

American born painter and sculptor, Frank Stella, is a unique artist because while he is still alive, his career has already been categorized into two distinct divisions. He began as a minimalist painter depicting merely geometric shapes and colors. Then his work took a different route. His "second career" was directed towards Abstract Expressionism, a style of non-geometric abstract art, usually forceful and large. Today, Stella's massive wall relief scuptures can be seen in every major museum around the world. We painted and built a smaller version of his relief sculptures using cardboard, acrylic paints and oil pastels.
